Feature Fun Friday - President Bartlet Pardons a Turkey

Current Theme Song (aka what's playing on my ipod right now): Greensleeves by Blackmore's Night.

Okay I admit it, this has nothing to do with books, but it is almost Thanksgiving and this is hilarious. It is from the now-ended series West Wing. You know that the President pardons a turkey every year, right? Well... what happens to the runner-up? I won't say any more, you will just have to watch and enjoy. So many priceless one-liners here. Have a great weekend everyone!

LOL thank you for sharing!! The president in this one is amazing! Like, "Where the hell is he?" and
"Okay"
"No it's not okay!"

this is hilarious! I never knew anything about pardoning turkeys, but this one was hilarious, especially drafting the turkey is military service! I LOVE THIS! And Happy Thanksgiving
!

LOL. I love the "If the Oscars were like that I'd watch." line. Classic.

I forgot how great this show was. A couple of my friends worked on the show when I was at USC (don't get too excited, they were just PA's aka gophers aka coffee runners) but they said the actors were really nice. Now I want to go buy the DVD set.

Thanks for sharing!

Yay Blackmore's Night! My mom is addicted now too. I need to download the other albums and I'm scared to watch the video because I'm a vegan...

Kirthi - That was my favorite part too. "I will tell you what I can do - I'm drafting this turkey into military service."

Shannon - That is still cool though! I'm so glad they are nice. They really seem that way from the show.

Jazz - They have a lot of really great moments, but this had to be one of my favorite episodes. Go to YouTube and type in "West Wing Butterball" - that is another great one. See if your library has it.

Frankie - Don't worry - it is perfectly vegan friendly. In fact it is all about saving the turkey. Go ahead and watch, you'll laugh. And yay for spreading the Blackmore love!

This is great! Would it be rude of me to post this on my blog. I'd link back to you, of course.
